Peter Rich is delighted to announce that he has been made an Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, together with:

Ian Ritchie, Lene Tranberg, John Tuomey, Ramon Vilalta Pujol, Rafael Aranda Quiles, Mario Corea, Jungsik Kim, Richard Leplastrier, Sheila O'Donnell, Carme Pigem Barcelo.

The inauguration will take place in Miami, June 10-12.

• Peter Rich lectured and conducted design workshops at the College of Design, Construction and Planning, and the Centre for African Studies at the University of Florida, USA.  Peter also lectured at the Florida International University of Miami in the School of ARchitecture and the Centre for African Studies.

 

• Mapungubwe Interpretation Centre was announced as the winner of the WorldBuilding of the Year award at the World Architecture Festival held in Barcelona in November 2009

• Mapungubwe Interpretation Centre has been Shortlisted for The Cultural Building of the Year at the World Architecture Festival, organised by The Architectural Review and Architectural Record. Award winners will announced at the WAF, held in Barcelona, Spain from the 4th to the 6th of November 2009.

• Mapungubwe Interpretation Centre has been announced as the Winner of The David Alsop Sustainability Award from the British Institution of Structural Engineers. The ceremony was held in London on Friday the 9th October 2009
